Transfer Update: Chippa United Coach Confirms Nwabali Could Depart

Chippa United head coach Thabo September has acknowledged the possibility of losing several key players—including Nigeria’s Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali—during the upcoming June transfer window, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Chilli Boys have a track record of struggling to hold on to top talent, with numerous players having moved on to other clubs in previous seasons.
Despite Nwabali signing a new contract earlier in the season, interest from foreign clubs remains strong.
September admitted that the club may be forced to part ways with players they can no longer retain, as part of a broader strategy to rebuild and focus on youth development.
“We will lose some, but there’s definitely a core group we’ll keep,” September said during a recent media session in Hammarsdale.
“It’s part of football. If you want to improve your team, sometimes you have to sell your best players, reinvest in younger talent, and aim for stability.”
He added, “Yes, we’ll lose a few, but we’ll rebuild in those areas and maintain the rest of the squad.”
