Nigeria's Super Eagles forward Cyriel Dessers has for the first time reacted to a report linking him with a move to Copenhagen after a picture of him and coach Jess Thorup taken in Denmark surfaced online," BSNsports.com.ng has gathered.

Dessers was captured during a lunch out with his former coach last week.

Following his outstanding performance last season with Feyenoord in the Dutch Eredivisie, Dessers has been linked to a departure from Genk with clubs across Europe showing interest in his services.

After speculations that the Nigerian was set to join Italia Serie A side Cremonese, the player was spotted in Denmark last week discussing with the Copenhagen boss.

The lanky attacker reacted to the insinuations on Monday after the recovery training.

"If I come to Barcelona in the summer, no one will link me to Barcelona," he said.

However, the three-capped Nigerian international has not ruled out a longer stay in Belgium. "I'm enjoying myself here, with this team and this coach, who impresses me a lot.

 "I'm 27 years old, I still have a two-year contract. But don't decide on it alone," he added.
