After spending over two years on loan away from the club, Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo, is set to leave the English Championship club, Stoke City, BSNsports.com.ng understand.

The former Warri Wolves player spent last season on loan with the English Premier League club Watford FC but injury affected his performance and could not give his best with the Hornets.

Despite having the intention of staying permanently at Vicarage Road, the club decided not to activate the buying options.

Etebo has returned to his parent club Stoke City and according to the report coming from the Britannia stadium the energetic Nigeria midfielder is likely to be sold this summer.

" in Peter’s case it’s two-and-a-half years on various loans. I think when it gets to that stage, in a player’s mind he’s already left the club even though he’s still contracted," Michael O'Neill told Stokeontrentlive.

Apart from playing in England, Etebo has also played in Portugal, Turkey and Spain.
