Despite Nigeria's Flying Eagles finishing third at the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, standout midfielder Auwal Ibrahim has completed a high-profile move to Tunisian powerhouse, Etoile Du Sahel, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian team ended the tournament behind champions Morocco and runners-up South Africa, but Auwal emerged as one of the brightest prospects of the competition.

Etoile Du Sahel confirmed the signing of the talented midfielder on a five-year contract on Wednesday afternoon.

Currently part of the Flying Eagles squad competing in the WAFU B Championship in Ghana, Auwal is expected to play a key role for the Ligue 1 side in the upcoming season.
