Former Flying Eagles Star Umeh Emmanuel has joined Switzerland giant FC Zurich, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The skillful winger started his Europe career with the Russian side FDC Vista Gelendzhik.

In 2022, he moved to Bulgaria to join Botev Plovdiv, where he scored eleven goals and provided three assists in 47 competitive appearances.

In the past 2023/2024 season, Emmanuel won the Bulgarian Cup with Botev Plovdiv, scoring the decisive goal in the final in a 3-2 win against Ludogorets Razgrad.

The Swiss giant announced his arrival on Monday afternoon.

" FC Zurich has signed 19-year-old Nigerian attacker Umeh Emmanuel. The winger comes to Zurich from Bulgaria from Botev Plovdiv with immediate effect and has signed a five-year contract with the city club until 2029. The transfer terms have been kept confidential", the club said.

Umeh was part of the Flying Eagles team at the last FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina.
