Transfer Update: Former Flying Eagles Star Moves To Scottish Premier League

Former Nigeria's Flying Eagles Star Marvin Ekpiteta has joined the Scottish Premier League side Hibernian, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ekpiteta departed the English League One side Blackpool last season due to the expiration of his contract.

Hibernian announced his arrival on Friday afternoon via the club's social media handle.

"We are delighted to announce the signing of centre-back Marvin Ekpiteta!", the club said.

Before departing the Seasiders this summer, the Englishman made over 100 appearances in the Championship & League One, won their Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year award in 2022, and captained them regularly in the 2022/23 campaign.

Internationally, Ekpiteta has earned two caps for Nigeria’s Under-20s and also featured for England C.
