Transfer Update: Former MFM FC Star Joins Czech Republic Club
Sampson Adedeji
Former MFM FC Lagos defender Joshua Akpudje has moved to Czech Republic side FK Jablonec on a 2-year deal, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Akpudje joined Latvian side BFC Daugavpils in 2020 and has also played in Lithuania for FK Panevėžys where he got to appear in the UEFA Conference League.
The Czech side announced his arrival via the official website of the club on Monday morning.
" Lagos native Joshua Akpudje is the new Jablonec player! The stopper from Nigeria, who has been active in Latvia and Lithuania for the last two years, has signed a contract in Jablonec until June 30, 2024", the club confirmed.
The player was also excited about the move and promised to work hard for the progress of the club.
"It is the dream of every young player to fight for his future.
I am grateful to God for the opportunity to be in Jablonec. Now is the time to start working on a better future.
"I'm happy that I could see the match. It was a very good match, few people expected such a result from the boys and the boys left everything there.
It was difficult for them to even with the red card. I saw it as such a commitment that the boys were aggressive and they are hungry. Every club needs this.
After I saw it and I will give it my hundred per cent, we can prove this more often in the season", he said.
