Transfer Update: Former Rivers United Foward Joins Vietnam Side

Former Rivers United forward Stephen Gopey has finally moved out of Africa again to continue his football career, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Gopey joined the Ukrainian top side last summer but had to return home due to the ongoing crisis between Russia and Ukraine.

Upon his return to Nigeria, the lanky forward moved to the DR Congo club TP Mazembe and played quite several games for the club.

According to the report coming from Vietnam, Hong Linh Ha Tinh FC has confirmed his arrival on a free transfer from the Congolese club.

Apart from playing in Ukraine and DR Congo, Gopey has also played in the Egyptian Premier League for Wadi Degla.
