Transfer Update: Fulham Eye Nigerian Winger

Fulham have turned their attention to Nigerian winger Philip Otele of FC Basel as manager Marco Silva seeks to bolster his squad before the transfer window closes, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to GIVEMESPORT, the 26-year-old winger is available for less than €15m. Fulham scouts were in Switzerland on Tuesday to watch Otele feature in Basel’s 1-1 UEFA Champions League qualifier against Copenhagen, as the club weighs up whether to submit a formal bid.

Otele, who has been impressive in Switzerland, is also attracting interest from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, who are considering making an approach.

Should the move go through, Otele would link up with fellow Super Eagles stars Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey at Craven Cottage.

Meanwhile, Fulham are also monitoring other attacking options, including Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze and England forward Raheem Sterling.
