Fulham FC have begun negotiations with Spanish La Liga side Real Sociedad over a potential move for Nigerian striker Sadiq Umar, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The English Premier League club are keen to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season, with Sadiq emerging as a prime target.

The 28-year-old is not in Real Sociedad’s long-term plans for the 2025/26 campaign, creating an opening for a Premier League switch. Under contract until 2028, the Super Eagles forward could be available for around €10 million.

Fulham see him as a physical presence capable of leading the line and helping the club secure a solid mid-table finish.

According to Fichajes, Fulham’s Sporting Director has already contacted Real Sociedad to explore Sadiq’s availability and possible terms.

The Cottagers are reportedly preparing a four-year contract offer, providing the player with the stability and fresh start he desires.

Last season, Sadiq made 30 appearances for Real Sociedad, netting six goals, and also spent time on loan at Valencia.

While injuries have hampered his time in Spain, his aerial prowess, strength, and ability to trouble defenders continue to draw interest from multiple clubs.
