After failing to mount a serious challenge to the Turkish Super Lig title in the just-concluded season, Galatasaray has started looking for ways to strengthen their team ahead of the new season, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

Against all odds, Trabzonspor surprised all the bookmakers to emerge champions of the league at the expense of much established teams.

To this end, the Blood and Gold has finally and officially approached Greek Super league side Olympiakos for the services of the Nigeria's Super Eagles winger Henry Onyekuru.

The former Everton FC player joined Olympiakos from the French Ligue One side AS Monaco last summer on a 4-year deal but failed to stamp his authority in the team due to a toe injury.

He only made 14 appearances for the Greek club.

Onyekuru is not new to the Turkish Super Lig especially Galatasaray having represented them thrice in the past.

His sojourn to the club had always been a success having scored 20 goals in 51 matches for the Turkish side.
