German Bundesliga club FC Augsburg have reached an agreement in principle to sign Nigerian forward Uchenna Ogundu from Turkish Super Lig side Alanyaspor, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The deal, which is now at an advanced stage, will see the highly-rated attacker make a switch to the German top flight ahead of the upcoming season, with final details and personal terms expected to be concluded in the coming days.

Ogundu, who joined Alanyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig, has been one of the standout Nigerian attackers in the league, drawing interest from several European clubs due to his pace, physical presence, and eye for goal.

Augsburg have moved quickly to secure his signature as part of their squad reinforcement plans, with the club looking to bolster their attacking options for the new Bundesliga campaign.

The transfer, once completed, will mark another significant step in Ogundu’s career and further strengthen Nigeria’s growing presence in Europe’s top leagues.
