Nigerian midfielder Peace Efih has expressed her delight after completing her permanent move to Greek Women's A Division club Panathinaikos, describing the transfer as an exciting new chapter in her career, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The experienced midfielder said she is eager to contribute to the club's ambitions and help them challenge for domestic honours.

"I am very excited to have signed with Panathinaikos. I look forward to scoring many goals and helping the team achieve its main goal, which is winning the championship. I can't wait to get started," Efih told the club's official website.

Efih joined Panathinaikos from fellow Greek side OFI Crete after an impressive spell with the club.

The Nigerian began her professional career with former Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) champions Rivers Angels before featuring for Bayelsa Queens.

She has since built an extensive career across Europe, playing for Sporting de Huelva and Zaragoza CFF in Spain, Kiryat Gat in Israel, and Braga in Portugal.

Panathinaikos will be hoping Efih's experience and quality in midfield will strengthen their squad as they aim to compete for the Greek Women's A Division title in the new season.
