Transfer Update: I Love Feyenoord, I Respect Genk But....

In-form Nigeria's Super Eagles striker, Cyril Dessers still yet to be sure where his future lies just as the 2021/2022 football season is winding up, BSNsports.com.ng understand.


Former Heracles attacker was the star performer for Feyenoord both in the league and continental stage in the just-concluded season.


His performance coupled with his goals in the reason Feyenoord is competing in the final of the UEFA conference league final against AS Roma of Italy.


When he quizzed about his transfer situation Dessers made it clear that he loved the Dutch club and still have huge respect for his parent club RKC Genk of Belgium but is yet to be where he will play next season.


"I certainly wouldn't call it a step back, because I still look at Genk with respect. We just had a fantastic year with Feyenoord, both in the league and in Europe and we are sure of the European group stage next season. 


"I am happy here, but I am just as curious as you are about where I will start preparing in a month: that could be at Genk, Feyenoord, but also somewhere completely different. 


"Those are worries for after next week, hopefully with the Conference League," he said.
