Transfer Update: Iheanacho Poised For Turkey Switch

Nigeria forward Kelechi Iheanacho is on the verge of completing a move to Turkish Super Lig side Samsunspor, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Sources from Turkey indicate that Iheanacho has agreed to join the club on a permanent deal. Samsunspor, nicknamed The Red Lightning, are currently in talks with Sevilla to finalise the contract terms.

Under the agreement, Iheanacho is set to earn around €1.2 million annually, while Sevilla will pocket €3.5 million as the transfer fee.

The 28-year-old joined Sevilla on a free transfer last summer after parting ways with Leicester City but spent the second half of last season on loan at Championship outfit Middlesbrough.

Samsunspor made Iheanacho their prime target after missing out on Chuba Akpom, who recently signed for Ipswich Town.
