Transfer Update: Iheanacho Set To Join Middlesbrough

Nigeria's Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho is on the verge of England's return as he prepares to join the Championship side Middlesbrough, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

It’s understood Celtic held talks with the La Liga side over a possible loan with option-to-deal for the 28-year-old, but there was no agreement.

Both Middlesbrough and Celtic have been on the hunt for a striker in this window.

The 28-year-old was out of favour at Sevilla, having signed from Leicester in the summer. Boro is set to pay a large portion of his Sevilla wages.
