Transfer Update: Ishaq Rafiu Confirms His Move To Slovenia

Despite the insistence of the Nigeria Professional Football League side Rivers United on its forward Ishaq Rafiu, the player has once again confirmed his departure to Slovenia, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Rivers United emerged as the winner of the 2021/2022 league season and Ishaq was one of the key players that played an active role in the triumph.

Slovenian club NK Maribor announced the acquisition of the player on a 3-year deal only for the Nigeria champions to deny the agreement and insisted that Ishaq remained their bonafide player.

The player refused to rejoin the Nigerian side and Tuesday morning through his Twitter handle confirmed his presence in Slovenia with Maribor and also posted the logo of the club.

Ishaq made his Super Eagles debut in an international friendly match against Mexico in the United States.
