With less than 48 hours remaining in the winter transfer window, Leeds United has initiated discussions with Sevilla over a potential move for Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Leeds has yet to make any signings this winter but is working tirelessly to make changes before the window closes.

Iheanacho has become a viable transfer target in the final days of the market.

Since joining Sevilla on a free transfer last summer, he has made only five starts and four substitute appearances in La Liga.

Sevilla is open to facilitating his departure, either on a permanent or loan basis, leaving the 28-year-old to decide his next move.
