Transfer Update: Nigeria Eligible Stars Sign Extension With Chelsea

English Premier club Chelsea has given Nigerian eligible player Tyrique George a contract extension, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

George signed for the Blues in 2014 when he was 8 years old and he has progressed through the rank of the club academy.

Chelsea announced on Monday afternoon that George's contract has been extended until 2027.

He made 26 appearances for the U21, 3 of which in the Premier League 2 playoff, while 21 outings came with the U18 who ended the campaign as Premier League South champions.

George has represented England at the youth level but is eligible to play for Nigeria as is qualified through his parents.
