Transfer Update: Nigeria Forward Joins Japanese Club

Little-known Blessing Eleke has joined the tiny list of Nigerian players who are plying their trade in the Japanese league, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

Lagos State-born striker started his professional career in 2016 with Olypimja Ljubljana before moving to Israeli Premier League side Ashod FC the following year.

He signed for the Belgium Jupiler league side Beerschot in 2020 but spent last season on loan with Turkish Super Lig club Gençlerbirligi SK.

Japanese league giant Kashima Antlers captured Eleke on the 1st of August but his deal was finally ratified today ( 11 of August) 2022.

Eleke has also played in Croatia and Switzerland.
