Switzerland's top-flight side, FC Lausanne-Sport, has signed Nigeria-eligible attacker Nathan Butler-Oyedeji, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 22-year-old forward, who came through the ranks of Premier League side Arsenal, started his football development at the club's prestigious academy.

Butler-Oyedeji gained valuable experience in England’s League One with loan spells at Accrington Stanley and Cheltenham Town, where he made a combined 24 appearances.

He broke into Arsenal’s first team last season, featuring in the UEFA Champions League clash against Dinamo Zagreb in January 2025 and making his Premier League debut in April against Ipswich Town.

On Wednesday, FC Lausanne-Sport officially confirmed his arrival via their social media platforms.

"FC Lausanne-Sport is pleased to announce the signing of English striker Nathan Butler-Oyedeji. The 22-year-old joins the club as a free agent on a three-year deal, valid until June 30, 2028," the club announced.

Born in London to a Nigerian father and British mother, Butler-Oyedeji remains eligible to represent either England or Nigeria at the international level.
