Transfer Update: Nigerian International Moves To Jordan

Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward, Junior Ajayi, has completed a move to Jordanian Premier League side Al Wehdat, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 29-year-old attacker makes the switch after spending last season with Al Hilal SC in Libya, where he played a pivotal role in helping the club finish second in the Libyan Premier League.

His goals and overall impact earned him plaudits from fans and pundits alike. Ajayi’s career has been on an upward trajectory since leaving Nigeria a few seasons ago.

After starting out at Shooting Stars in the Nigeria Premier Football League, he caught the eye of scouts and joined Tunisian club CS Sfaxien, where he made an immediate impression.

His performances earned him a move to Egyptian giants Al Ahly, where he won several domestic and continental titles, including the CAF Champions League.

Following stints in North Africa, Ajayi moved to Libya in 2023 to join Al Hilal, adding further experience to an already rich résumé.

Now, he is set for a fresh challenge in the Middle East with Al Wehdat, one of Jordan’s most successful clubs.
