Transfer Update: Nigerian Star David Okereke Joins FC Torino

Italian Serie A side FC Torino has announced the capture of Nigerian International David Okereke from US Cremonese, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Okereke joined US Cremonese of Italy from the Belgian Jupiler League side Club Brugge a few seasons ago.

Cremonese suffered relegation at the end of last season and various clubs tabled offers for the former U23 attacker.

Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas almost secured his services but the deal collapsed due to some logistics.

Torino announced his arrival on Wednesday afternoon after sealing an agreement with Cremonese.

Okereke joined some other Nigerian players that have played for the club in the past.
