Transfer Update: Nigerian Teenage Striker Joins Belgium League Champion

Belgium Jupiler League champion Royal Antwerp continues to strengthen its team ahead of its campaign in the UEFA Champions League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

On the team on Thursday announced the acquisition of a Nigerian youngster George Ilenikhena from French Ligue Two side Amiens.

The 16-year-old striker played 16 games in Ligue 2 and scored twice. While playing for the second team he made 10 appearances and scored six goals.

Antwerp has been searching for a striker that can play as a backup to their top scorer Vincent Janssen.

 Ilenikhena’s side finished last season in 12th place in Ligue 2.
