FC Basel, a top club in the Swiss Premier League, has secured the services of Nigerian winger Philip Otele, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Otele was a key figure for Al Wahdah last season, and his impressive performances have caught the attention of the Swiss side.

On Tuesday morning, Basel reached an agreement with Al Wahdah for a loan deal that includes an option to purchase Otele for €3 million by the summer.

FC Basel is renowned for developing African talent, providing a strong platform for their players' growth.

Otele is expected to arrive in Switzerland on Tuesday for his medical examination, which is scheduled to take place later that same day.
