Transfer Update: Nigerian Youngster Joins Italian Serie A Side

Italian Serie A side Genoa FC has captured the Nigerian youngster David Ankeye on a 4-year deal, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 21-year-old star represented the Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol last season and he hit the limelight via his decent performance in the Champions League and Europa League qualifier.

The Port-Harcourt-born player made 10 appearances in the Europa League qualifier and 2 Champions League appearances where he scored 3 goals.

He was unveiled on Wednesday evening after passing the necessary medical and he was handed jersey number 30.
