Less than 48 hours before the closure of the transfer window, Spanish La Liga side Real Sociedad has opened discussions with the newly-promoted club, UD Almeria, for Sadiq Umar, BSNsports.com.ng understands

The lanky Super Eagles striker has been a subject of transfer discussion in the last few weeks after he helped Almeria back to the elite division.

Villareal was the first club to approach Almeria for his services but the discussions collapsed after both parties failed to agree on a financial agreement.

Real Sociedad who sold their attacker Alexander Isak to English Premier League side Newcastle United last week, has identified Sadiq as a suitable replacement for him.

The discussion with Almeria for Nigeria International is already at the advanced stage with the financial details being put into reasonable consideration.

Sadiq has already scored 2 goals in the La Liga this season for Almeria.
