Transfer Update: Super Eagles Defender Awaziem Seals Hajduk Split Loan Deal

Croatian Premier League side HNK Hajduk Split have announced the signing of Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem on loan from the Portuguese Primeira Liga club Boavista, BSNsports.com.ng understands.
Awaziem returned to his parent club Boavista for preseason before joining the Croatia side on Monday afternoon.
"HNK Hajduk and Boavista FC agreed on a one-year loan deal for 25-year-old stopper Chidozie Awaziem with an option to purchase in the contract at the end of the current season. Chidozie will wear jersey number 25 in Hajduk," the club confirmed.
Awaziem started his professional football career with local club El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri, and in 2014 moved to Porto's football academy.
He made over 60 appearances for Porto's B team, and he also made 10 appearances for the first team.
From 2017 to 2021, he successfully performed on loan with French Nantes, Turkish Rizespor, and Spanish Leganes and spent the past season on loan in Turkish Alanyaspor.
