Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Shehu Abdullahi has moved to Bulgarian club PFC Levski as a free agent on a year deal, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

Former Kano Pillars player departed Cyprus Premier League side Omonia Nicosia at the end of last season following the expiration of his contract.

He was touted to be on his way to the Portuguese primers Liga club Chavez but financial details proved to be the stumbling block.

The capital club confirmed his signing on Friday and is expected to join the team immediately for the new season

" PFK Levski has signed a contract with Abdullahi Shehu. The contract with the Nigerian footballer runs until the end of the 2022/2023 season.
