Transfer Update: Super Eagles Forward Joins Egyptian Club

Nigeria's Super Eagles B team striker Anthony Okpotu continued his foreign adventure as he has agreed to join Egyptian Premier League side Al Masry, BSNSports.com.ng understands.

The 28-year-old energetic striker started his career with Nigeria Professional Football League side Lobi Stars in 2012 before moving to the Libyan club Al Ittihad Tripoli.

Okpotu made all the headlines in Tunisia during his days with US Monastir where he won league top scorer gong and also helped the club to a domestic cup win.

He left Monastir for Al Qatar SC last season and he was able to distinguish himself in the league by scoring four goals in 20 appearances.

Egyptian league side Al Masry announced his capture in the early hours of Tuesday on a 2-year deal.

"Coming from Qatar SC, we have signed Nigeria striker Anthony Okpotu for two seasons.

"Welcome to Al Masry", the club said.

Okpotu made six appearances and scored two goals for the Super Eagles team B before leaving the country.
