Turkish club Gençlerbirliği has officially announced the signing of Nigeria's Super Eagles forward, Henry Onyekuru, marking his return to Turkish football, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former Club Brugge attacker penned a two-year contract with the Ankara-based side on Monday, continuing his long-standing connection with the Turkish league.

“Gençlerbirliği has signed Nigerian winger Henry Onyekuru. Strengthening its squad with numerous additions, the Reds and Blacks have secured the services of Henry Chukwuemeka Onyekuru,” the club stated.

The 28-year-old, who can play both as a left winger and forward, spent last season with Saudi Pro League outfit Al Fayha. He previously featured for Turkish giants Galatasaray and Adana Demirspor in the Süper Lig.
