Transfer Update: Super Eagles Forward Set for Ligue 1 Return

Super Eagles striker Gift Orban is edging closer to a return to the French Ligue 1 after impressing with Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 22-year-old endured a difficult spell at Olympique Lyonnais before making the switch to Germany in January.

However, his resurgence in form at Hoffenheim has reignited interest from France.

Toulouse FC have reportedly opened talks with Hoffenheim over a loan move for Orban, with an option to buy at the end of the deal. Orban, who signed a contract with the German club in January worth €9 million and running until June 2029, currently earns an annual salary of €2 million.

A move back to France now looks imminent as negotiations between both clubs continue.
