Transfer Update: Super Eagles Midfielder Joins Beerschot

Belgium club Beerschot has confirmed the signing of Super Eagles midfielder Alhassan Ibrahim on a 2-year deal, BSNsports.com.ng has gathered.

Alhassan played the past four seasons in the Portuguese Lesgue with CD Nacional, where he featured for two seasons at the highest level and last two in the second division before moving to Nacional, Alhassan played a  year with Austria Vienna.

The 25-year-old skilful player represented Akwa United in the Nigeria Professional Football League which earned him a call-up to the national team.

He signed a contract at Kiel on Thursday morning until mid-2024 with an option for an extension.

“I do like to feel the ball, but I'm also very aggressive in the pressing too.

"So I can certainly agree with our coach's game system. For me this is another new step in my career. 

"In previous seasons I played in Portugal in both the first and second division. 

"My goal is to play at the highest level with Beerschot again as soon as possible," he said.
