Transfer Update: Super Eagles Midfielder Joins Greek Club

Greek Premier League side Aris FC has announced the signing of Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder Etebo Oghenekaro from English Championship side Stoke City, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

His first season in England was very positive, but the change of manager at Stoke City in the second season changed the situation for the Nigerian midfielder, who was loaned out for six months to Spanish side Getafe in January 2020.

Fifty-one appearances (2 goals) in the Championship and FA Cup were his tally for Stoke City before he left for Spain where he played 11 times (1 goal) and returned to England at the end of the season.

The Nigeria international spent last season on loan with Premier League side Watford FC but injury scuttled his time with the club as they suffered relegation at the end of the season.

The Greek side announced its acquisition through its official website on Friday.
