Transfer Update: Super Eagles Midfielder Joins Israeli Second Division Side

Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder, John Ogu, continues his European adventures as he moved to the Israeli second division club Maccabi Kabilio Jaffa, BSNsports.com.ng gathered


Ogu is not new to the Israeli football having represented Hapoel Be'er Sheva in the past where he helped the club to numerous titles.


The club confirmed his arrival via its news outlets and further said he's the first foreign player in the history of the club.


"We are happy to inform you that the first foreign player in the history of Maccabi Kabilio Jaffa is the Nigerian midfielder John Ogu, welcome John good luck," the club said.


Ogu who was part of the Super Eagles team to Russia 2018 World Cup and 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt has won the Israeli league in the past when he emerged champions with Hapoel Beer Sheva for three consecutive seasons.
