Transfer Update: Super Eagles Midfielder Set For Turkey Return

Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is on the verge of a return to the Turkish Super Lig, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

 The skilful midfielder joined Italian Serie A side Lazio on loan from Turkish outfit Kasimpasa in 2025, seeking to further his development at the top level of European football.

 Despite flashes of quality during his time in Italy, Dele-Bashiru has found regular playing opportunities limited.

According to the latest reports from Italy, Turkish giants Trabzonspor on Wednesday afternoon opened negotiations with Lazio in a bid to secure the services of the Nigerian international.

Discussions are understood to be ongoing, with Trabzonspor keen on reinforcing their midfield ahead of the second half of the season.

A return to Turkey could offer Dele-Bashiru the chance to rediscover consistent game time, having previously impressed in the Super Lig with Hatayspor.

The move is also expected to keep him in contention for future Super Eagles call-ups, as regular club action remains a key consideration for the national team selectors.
