Super Falcons forward Uchenna Kanu has officially ended her three-year spell with Racing Louisville FC, becoming a free agent in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Kanu’s departure comes after a productive spell in which she played a key role in guiding the club to its first-ever playoff qualification, marking a historic milestone for Louisville.
The dynamic attacker, known for her pace, intelligence, and precision in front of goal, joined the club in 2022 and quickly became a fan favourite with her consistent performances and leadership on and off the pitch.
Kanu was also part of the Super Falcons squad that impressed at the last Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where Nigeria finished strongly and earned continental recognition.
With her contract now expired, the 27-year-old is expected to attract interest from clubs abroad and within the United States as she begins the next chapter of her professional career.
