Transfer Update: Swedish Side Captures Nigeria Youngster

Swedish Allsvenskan side IFK Gothenburg has captured Nigeria youngster Suleiman Abdullahi on a 3-year deal, BSNsports.com.ng understands.

Suleiman broke into limelight in the Norwegian league through Viking Stavanger in 2016 when he scored five goals in 13 matches.

This led to interest from the German side and Suleiman was recruited to Eintracht Braunschweig in the German second division the same year.

There he alternated with games in Braunschweig and Union Berlin (loan and then transfer) and was involved in pushing Union up to the top league.

"We have completed a new acquisition that spearheads the squad. The 25-year-old Nigerian striker Suleiman Abdullahi is on a free transfer from the Bundesliga club Union Berlin," the club confirmed.

Suleiman is expected to be in action when the Swedish league resume on the 15th of July.
