Transfer Update: Turkish Super Lig Club Frees Super Eagle Forward

As the 2022/2023 Turkish Super Lig came to a finish on Wednesday, Umniayespor has commenced cleaning its house ahead of the new season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Despite not securing a European slot the team still finished in a respectable position on the log.

The club On Friday morning announced the list of players released by the club and the name of Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Kayode Olarenwaju featured on the list.

Kayode joined the Turkish side last summer on loan from Ukrainian giant Shakhtar Donetsk after a successful loan spell with Sivasspor.

His inclusion in the team added needed bite to the attack and he scored some vital goals to propel the club to a respectable finish.

Kayode who made his international debut for Nigeria against South Africa is expected to return to Shakhtar ahead of the new season.
