Transfer Update: Why We Re-signed Nwakaeme - Trabzonspor Vice-President

The Vice President of Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor, Nevzat Kaya has revealed why the club decided to sign Nigerian forward Anthony Nwakaeme, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Nwakaeme was given a 2-year contract on Sunday by the club after he agreed to play for them again.

The lanky forward joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Fayha a few seasons ago from the Turkish but he decided to rejoin them following the expiration of his contract with Saudi side.

"First of all, congratulations to Trabzonspor. Nwakaeme was a very valuable football player of ours. 

"We are happy to bring him back to this club. First of all, I would like to thank our President Ertuğrul Doğan, Coach Abdullah Avcı and my manager friends for this transfer. 

" I would like to thank dear Trabzonspor fans. Because they love Nwakaeme very much, and Nwakaeme loved them very much. 

"Today is the reunion day for lovers. We are very happy to bring a valuable player like Nwakaeme back to Trabzonspor. 

"I would also like to make a call to our fans. We ask you to support our club by participating in the jersey campaign we started. 

"Their support is very important to us," he said.

Nwakaeme was handed the jersey number 9.
