Truce As Eto'o Approves Brys Appointment

Peace seems to be gradually returning to FECAFOOT as President Samuel Eto'o finally approved the appointment of Marc Brys as the coach of the Indomitable Lions, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Football Cameroon has witnessed turmoil in the last few months following the elimination of the Indomitable Lions by Nigeria which eventually led to the sacking of Rigobert Song.

The Minister of Sports Narcisse Mouelle Kombi and the executive of FECAFOOT met on Wednesday and the matter was resolved.

Eto'o agreed with the appointment of Brys but changed the backroom.

"Given the urgency linked to the need to prepare the fly team for the 2026 World Cup qualifier and given the financial sacrifices already made by the government to bring in foreign expertise and in the interest of appeasement ", FECAFOOT said.

The football body also announced Joachim Munuga and Giannis Xilouris in place of Francois Omam Biyik and Carlos Kameni to replace Alioum Boukar as goalkeeper trainer.
