Tunisia To Host Nigeria, 20 Others In African Weightlifting Championship

North African country Tunisia has been named as the host of the 33rd edition of the African Weightlifting Championship, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Nigeria is among the 21 countries that will take part in the championship that will also serve as the qualifiers for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

189 athletes are expected to take part in the championship that will take place at Hammadi Ben Ammar Hall in La Goulette from the 11th to the 20th of May, 2023.

Azerbaijan is the only country outside the continent that will take part in the championship after they were granted an invitation by the organiser.
