The Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match between the Super Eagles and Libya was relegated to a fiasco by Libyan federal authorities and Football Federation.

The pilot recounted his experience in a video circulating on X, formerly known as Twitter, explaining that while he had planned to land at the designated airport, they were suddenly directed by officials to divert to another one just as they neared their destination.

He said: "We have all the evidence because they changed their mind at the last minute and It wasn’t easy to land at the Al-Abraq airport at night.
