Turkish Club Terminates Azubuike's Contract

Turkish club Caykur Rizespor has announced the contract termination of Nigeria international Azubuike Okechukwu, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Azubuike joined Rizespor last summer after his contract expiration with Istanbul Baseksehir. Injury reoccurrence affected his progress in the team and both parties have agreed to part ways. The former Bayelsa United midfielder has been training with the second-tier side Erzurumspor in the past few days. "We have parted ways with our professional football player, Azubuike Okechukwu, by mutual consent. " We would like to thank Azubuike Godson Okechukwu for his contribution to our team and we wish him success in his future career", the club said.
