Super Eagles striker, Paul Onuachu, has said he joined the Tranzonspor to represent the club and fight for the badge, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

After an unsuccessfully spell with the English side Southampton, the Nigerian International joined the Trabzon-based club on loan on Monday.

During his first chat with the club media, the former Genk of Belgium attacker expressed his happiness over the move and promised to give his best.

"You could see the welcome from fans at the airport, it was crazy.

It makes me think ok, this is really a football city, I'm really happy they came because it shows that they give a lot of support to the players here in Trabzon.

" I'm here to fight for the badge, to win the championship and reach our target", he said.

Despite joining the Saints during the winter transfer window, Onuachu failed to score a goal in 11 games.
