Turkish Super Lig: Paul Onuachu Ends Season as Joint Leading Scorer

Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has finished the season as joint top scorer in the Turkish Super Lig after an outstanding campaign with Trabzonspor, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian forward scored 22 league goals, matching the tally of Eldor Shomurodov of İstanbul Başakşehir to share the league’s top-scoring honour.o

Onuachu also became the sixth player in Trabzonspor’s history to achieve the feat, further underlining his impact during the campaign.

The 30-year-old accounted for 36 percent of Trabzonspor’s total goals in the Super Lig this season. The Black Sea club scored 61 goals in 34 league matches, with Onuachu finishing as the team’s leading scorer with 22 strikes.

His influence extended beyond goals, as Trabzonspor recorded 43 points in the 18 league matches in which he found the net. Those games produced 13 victories, four draws, and just one defeat.

Statistics also showed that the club earned 66 percent of their total league points in matches where the Nigerian international scored, highlighting his importance to the team’s successful campaign.
