Two Nigerian Referees Appointed For CAF WCL - WAFU B Qualifiers

Two Nigerian referees have been appointed for the upcoming Women’s Champions League qualifying tournament for the West Zone B - Ivory Coast 2025, taking place from August 23 to September 5, 2025, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Nigerian duo of Alaba Olufunmilayo and Agbons Faith are among the sixteen (16) referees that have been selected to officiate the tournament, including 8 centre referees and 8 assistant referees.

Recall that Bayelsa Queens FC, the reigning champions of the Nigeria Women Football League, have been placed in Group B for the WAFU-B CAF Women's Champions League qualifiers.

In Group B, Bayelsa Queens will compete against Police Ladies of Ghana, Association Sportive De La Kozah of Togo, and Sam Melly of Benin Republic, all vying for a spot in the final.

The winner of the 2025 WAFU B Qualifiers will then secure a place in the CAF Women's Champions League group stage, representing the WAFU-B region.
