Abel Ogwuche who replaced Flying Eagles captain, Daniel Bamaiyi has been named the man of the match in the Flying Eagles 1-0 win over Uganda on Thursday.

Bamaiyi was suspended following two yellow cards he received in the group stage.

The seven times African champions pipped the Cranes of Uganda in the quarter final of the 2023 CAF U20 African Nations Cup in Ismailia to pick the Semifinal and World Cup tickets.

He produced an impressive performance in the game, providing the necessary blockage in the heart of the defense for the team and disallowed Ugandans from penetrating into the defense.

CAF announced Ogwuche as the winner of the award on their Twitter handle.
