U-20 AFCON: Tunisia Clinch Last World Cup Spot With 5-4 Shootout Victory Over Congo

Tunisia booked their place in the semi-finals of the ongoing U-20 AFCON in Egypt with a 5-4 penalty shootout victory over Congo on Friday night, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The encounter which took place at the Cairo International Stadium saw the North African side overturning a goal deficit to play a thrilling 3-3 draw with Congo at full-time.
Deo Bassinga put Congo in front with his second goal of the campaign in the 24th minutes before Jibril Othman restored parity for Tunisia eight minutes to halftime.
The young cottage then completed the comeback in the 76th minute through Brighton's midfielder Sammy Chouchane.
The Congolese responded four minutes later with Deo Bassinga's brace to tie the scoreline at 3-3 and drag the game into extra time.
Bassinga completed his hat-trick in the 102nd minute as Congo took the lead for the second time in the game.
Tunisia's late push for a goal was rewarded through substitute Ali Saoudi whose 119th minute goal forced the game into a penalty shootout in which they won 5-4 to complete Africa's representatives in the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia by May.
