U17 AFCON: Eaglets Can Beat Burkina Faso Again-Michael

Nigeria's Golden Eaglets defender Emmanuel Michael says they can beat Burkina Faso again, as he declared their readiness for the game against the Young Stallions, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The last quarter-final of the ongoing U17 African Cup of Nations on Thursday will see Golden Eaglets confronting Burkina Faso in Algiers.

Recall Nigeria were 2-1 winners over the Burkinabes in the final of the 2022 WAFU U17 championship held in Ghana.

While speaking ahead of the clash, Michael who was part of the squad in Cape Coast, said they know the importance of the game and they are well prepared to achieve their aim.

“We have prepared well for this match and we are ready for the tie. We want to give our best as a good result will qualify us for the World Cup and this is our ambition,” he said.

The winner of the game will qualify for the World Cup and also the semi-final of the AFCON.
